busy weekend

Man was it a busy weekend, Friday morning we went shopping for my daughter birthday party. Hey Jade turn six on the first. Boy where dose time go. Seem like yesterday we where at the hospital with my wife Danielle, to have the little precious girl. Friday we had a Good Friday service at our house. Saturday I had a meeting to go to. Then we had the birth day party for Jade, at Ft. Liberty. After the party every one wanted to stop by my house and grill out. we had a good time. My little nephew asked if we where going to have any thing for Easter. He was like uncle Jim always has a Easter get together. so guess what... Yep we had another cook out Sunday after church, we played corn hole and the younger kids had a Easter egg hunt, had a time to fellowship with ease other talk about family and God, that was a good time. we even had a lot of time in pray as a family (Scott please remember my niece in your prayers. I will try and give you some info about her in a few days. She was in your youth group.)
after the get together we went to one of our part time jobs.
this is the first time for me to set down and rest, man it is nice to set down and take a breather watching something that I'm not in to but my wife is in to it...
But it is nice to just set down with her... :)

Good Friday what is so good about it?

What is this Good Friday? I was talking to a guy at work who clams to be a Christian, but he had no idea what good Friday really is. This broke my heart. This guy would always try and tell me what the bible says and would qoute scriptures.

But he has no idea that on this day is the day that our Lord and Saviour was beaten, with a cat-o-nine tails. With every strike of the whip would dig into Jesus flesh and pull back muscle, tendon's and even bones. then once He was beaten they made him carry a cross. (Which was most likly covered in blood from other people that were killed on the cross before Christ). See when my Lord was carrying his cross, it was against His back where he was beaten and lost his flesh and pulled pieces of muscle. Then if that was not enough. The Romans nailed his limbs to the cross to hang him there. Jesus did this to pay for your sins.

See Christian's believe that Jesus the son of God died on the cross, to pay our debt for our sins. And this guy i work with just did not get what good Friday really is.

I cant put to word how bad and terrible this was, in fact most people that were beaten that bad never made it to the cross, see they would die from the pain alone. Try in the next few days to really think about how much pain Christ was in with ever strike of the whip. His body jerking violently as the whip was pulling the flesh and muscle from his body. Jesus did this freely, he never one time tried to stop it or defined himself. That was Gods plan for Jesus to pay for our sins.

So what is Good Friday, Good Friday may not sound so good. But it is because that is the Day that Christ payed my debt for my sin that I would never be able to do.

just got back

We went to Brook ville In. My grandparents has a camper out there, and they let us use it over the last few days so we could get away for our anniversary. We had a blast, went hiking around brook ville. we went to the air force museum. We even had time to just relax yea even time to set back and relax. Which was a first time in a long, very long time for us to set back and just enjoy life. My dad and father-in-law toke care of the stuff for church, so we could have the day off. Thank you dad and Doug.

went to work and ?????

I go in to work yesterday, and about 50% of the people are really happy and the other half of the plant where not so happy, see the place I work has decided to go to 4 8hr work days instead of laying off a bunch of people. I'm all for a 32 hr work week. yea it will hurt losing a days pay a week, but i still have a job. I see it like this I see my kids and wifely more and I have a extra day to get things down, and i still have a check coming in with insurance for my family so to me it is a win win.

I was wondering what we where going to do to make up for the lost income. Well guess what a good friend of ours has emailed us and asked if we would like to work a few hrs for her. If we are awarded the job, it will almost make up the lost work day for me. man God is good ant He.

9th anniversary

To day is the 9th anniversary of the day that I married my best friend and the most beautiful woman, Danielle Short. I cant believe that it has been 9 years, man does time go by quick. I could not imagine my life with out my wife. She is always right there for me and even when I'm wrong she is still there. I could not ask for a better person than Danielle to be my wife and the mother of my kids. SHE IS GREAT!!! :)

God has given us 3 beautiful kid Conner Jade and Ethan. And a great family.

Just want to add that i think my Lord for giving me my wife and kids. If it was not for God I would not be married to my wife or have my kids, out of salvation that is the best gift the God has given me.

bad back and work

I hurt my back in July of 2000 at work. I have had problems with my back ever scents.

I work in a machining factory, and have been there for almost 6 years the first 4 years i work in one department.we will call it department (A) Then I went to another department ,we will call it department (PP) where doing my job in (PP) does not hurt my back as bad. But when they started to lay people off i got sent to the other department (A) that hurts my back when doing that job.

Don't get me wrong I'm very thankful that i still have a job and it is a gift from my Lord.

But I'm getting to the point where I can't walk or set down for and length of time, or do any thing that a husband or a father should be able to do left alone some one in there late 20's can do.

I have to work to support my family, and I do not want to lose my JOB. But some times I think that I might be better off, to get layed off, then to work in department (A).

I want to go back to school for RAD tech, and get in to the med field. But I'm still in the same boat where I need to work and get paid to support my family.

I'm praying about this and really seeking God's will on what to do...

Last night I was up all night hurt to the point where I was crying, I was hurting so bad that i could not even stand my wife rubbing my back or even my close touching my skin. I do not want, to have to live like this or put my family thought that again

Please pray that God will intervene and touch my back so I can keep work and supporting my family and keeps doing his well.

the cross

You know when you look at the cross, what it means and the story behind it. Sometimes it's easy to forget about what Christ went through on the cross, the pain, humilaty of hanging on a cross and most likely hanging there naked. But the cross is so much more than a man hanging on it. Jesus Christ was beaten with whips mocked had a crown of thorns and nailed to the cross just to raise from the grave three days later, for me and you, just so we could have a one way ticket.

The picture of Christ on the cross in all the pain and blood, and with the blood dripping and running down like a stream of water running down the cross across the ground has been in my mind a lot today almost like a power point show.

I see this picture in my mind and it is like I did this to Him, I mean I'm the one that beat, mocked, and nailed him to the cross. I'm hearing this little voice saying, "what are you going to do for me. You are the reason that I'm hanging here."

Now I have to get out of my comfort zone and tell what My Lord has done for me, you, and everyone.

Great Grand Ma

I have some great memories of my great grand ma Liews, She was my dad's grand ma. She was probable the closes person to God that I know of. She always went to church and did thigs for her church. When she was getting older her pastor started to come by her house every Wednesday and Sunday.

Grand ma would always have her talks about how God is doing things in her life and how God used her in her life. When grand ma would have her talks they had to be recorded. Grand ma would read some verse to me until her eyes would hurt, then she would apologize for having to stop read to me.

She would talk to me about her talks with God.(I did not know what she meant by that, will i do now.) about 3 or 4 days before she passed. She had one of her talks with her pastor.

She said some thing that I forgot about Intel a few years ago. I got out the old tapes of her talks with her pastor and I heard her say something the God told her in one of her talks with him that her great grand son would be a pastor and that he will do my works. Grand ma was really proud of that and would tell everyone.

I do not know what God meant when he talked to my grand ma about that, but I believe that God is working in my life and preparing me for some type of work. I hope my grand ma is still proud of her great grand son.

the wind earthquake and fire

Some time you think every thing is going great and you got it all together. then you are hit with a windstorm and you realize you do not have it all together and are in fact are hiding from God in your cave. You want to hear what God is telling you but you got all this stuff going on and you cant seem to hear what he has to say to us.

We are not alone see there was this guy named Elijah that went to his cave to hide from God. When he was hiding form God in the cave, God passed by in a windstorm, breaking mountains into rocks. But God was not in the wind. Then a earthquake, but God was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire then after the fire was a whisper. The whisper was and is God voice.

some times we just need to ride thou the wind, earthquake, and fires to hear what God has to say to us.

this is my first blog and kind of new to it. some friends of mine have blogs and got me in to them.
I'm still not fore shore how or what I'm going to put on my blog. So here is a littler about me

I'm a borning again Christean and work at a church plant, with having a full time job.

I'm 29 and have my 9th anniversary coming up on 3-25-09. we are still trying to figure out what we want to do.(can't believe that i have been married for 9 years)
God has bless me with 3 beautiful kids Conner, Jade, and Ethan, and a lot of good friends that i can re lie on, hang out with and go to for help on my Christean journey
